However, despite our contributions to the economy and society, Latinos are still often undercounted and underrepresented in public opinion polling and in American politics. Latinos for Education conducted a survey of our network to better understand the top issues and opinions within education that Latino educators, students and parents face. Amplifying Latino Voices in the 2024 Election

Our report shares key takeaways from a survey of hundreds of Latino educators, parents, and education leaders regarding four key policy areas:  

  • Educator Diversity
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE)
  • K­­ -12 Education
  • Higher Education

The survey was conducted online in both English and Spanish and included respondents from every sector of the education pipeline, including early childhood, K-12, higher education, education policy, and education technology. 

Key Data Findings:  

  • 94% support opportunities for high school students to earn college credit  
  • 95% support increased federal spending on early education, K-12, and vocational technical education  
  • 91% support federal financial aid for Dreamers
