Migdalia Diaz Joins Latinos for Education as the New Chief Operating Officer
Diaz Oversaw Finance and Operations at the Massachusetts Office of Labor and Workforce Development
Boston, Massachusetts – Latinos for Education announced today that Migdalia Diaz, former CFO and COO of the Massachusetts Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development, is joining their leadership team as Chief Operating Officer. In this role, Migdalia will oversee the development and implementation of Latinos for Education’s strategy, as the organization enters a new phase of growth and expansion. In addition, she will ensure the organization has the resources, systems, and infrastructure necessary to achieve its mission and vision.

As Acting CFO for the Massachusetts Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development (EOLWD), Migdalia oversaw efforts to bolster finance for the various programs and agencies within EOLWD to carry out their missions. As Chief Operating Officer of EOLWD, Migdalia oversaw the restructuring of all finance, business and audit processes within the department to meet the growing demands brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. Prior to these roles, Migdalia served as the Chief Operating Officer of the Association of Latino Professionals For America (ALPFA) and as the Boston Chapter President from 2012 to 2015.

Born in Puerto Rico, Migdalia began her career after graduating from the University of Connecticut while serving in the Connecticut Army National Guard, where she served for 8 years, an experience that has helped shape her leadership and team management skills throughout her career.
